What you’ll practice

Learn how common esports roles translate into real in-game responsibilities, including who initiates fights, who gathers info, and who secures objectives. You’ll also sharpen your ability to match role names to duties across different game genres.

Each question uses 4 options and there’s no timer, so you can think through team context instead of rushing a guess.

Difficulty and pacing

Difficulty is mixed on purpose: straightforward definitions are blended with scenario-style prompts about positioning, rotations, and win conditions. Choose your preferred question count and difficulty before you start to tailor the session to a quick warm-up or a deeper study run.

Common pitfalls to avoid

• Mixing up “support” with “passive” and forgetting supports often lead utility and tempo
• Assuming the IGL always tops the scoreboard instead of prioritizing calls and structure
• Treating “entry” as reckless rather than coordinated space-taking with trade potential
• Confusing objective control with chasing kills when the win condition is map pressure
• Overgeneralizing roles across games without adjusting for genre (MOBA vs FPS vs BR)

Tips to score higher

When stuck, ask what the team needs at that moment: information, space, utility, damage, or objective progress. If two answers seem close, pick the one that best matches the role’s primary duty rather than a situational secondary task.
